Port Environmental Policy and Technology
Port Environmental Policy and Technology offers a specialised program on the growing importance of environmental issues and applied technologies in a port. Current ecological challenges are discussed both from the point of view of the authorities as from the port users. The seminar focuses on international conventions and regulations (IMO, ILO and EU), Code of Practice, ISO certification, waste water policy, dangerous cargo handling and strategic policy debates of port and land use planning. We pay specific attention to the environmental challenges of the petrochemical industry.
